NSS believes in helping individuals live a life of dignity. To achieve this, our livelihood programmes focuses on generating sustainable livelihoods. This is done through capacity building, fostering community links and promoting small businesses. NSS India puts special focus on entrepreneurial ventures, which are owned by women.  NSS through its livelihood programmes promotes like Beautician ,cutting tailoring, mattress &Bag making . It also fosters linkages between community collectives and financial institutions. NSS also focuses on improving the literacy, numeracy and critical thinking skills to promote sustainable livelihoods.

In Dausa district of Rajasthan, youths contribute major share to the economy of the country whereas a large number of educated youth are jobless. They cannot contribute to the socio-economic development of themselves and to the nation’s economy. Young people of in villages of Dausa district are struggling with life and they need a hand that can support them through vocational training that can equip them with constructive knowledge and reliable Skills.

     vocational     Training includes training for all people who are at work or are preparing for it from the level of manual workers, craftsmen, technician to technologists, etc. Training enables people to think and act in efficient, scientific and disciplined manner. The development of human skills is the best form of investment for the economic development of a nation. The number of persons undergoing vocational or occupational training in a country could be taken as an index of its pace and stage of development. It is, therefore, necessary that vocational training should be properly planned and developed so that both the individual and society can be benefited by it. To keep pace with the rapidly changing technology, human resource development has to be improved simultaneously by upgrading and updating skills by modular as well as advanced training systems. Taking these factors into consideration, the Nss Vocational Centre has therefore been dynamic in terms of coverage, content and delivery .     A thing of Beauty is a joy forever. The art of Beauty Culture is very old and all through the ages, beauties have influenced the minds of Kings, Queens, Poets and other important people who mould society. This course will help the girls to open their Beauty Parlous or get employed on good remuneration with a Beautician, Fitness Centre, etc

In this context NSS proposes to start a vocational training centre. In this centre a job oriented course

Beauty& wellness or cutting tailoring       ” would be provided to underprivileged youth. NSS aims at providing skill enhancement and employability training to around 5000 underprivileged women/Girls in the identified villages of Dausa district Rajasthan. This course prepares the youth from poor families in the age group of 18-30 yrs with skills in English speaking proficiency, Basic Computer and Soft skills for enhancing their prospects of employment in the sectors like- SME

The training would be conducted in the following way:-

Course Duration: - 2Months

Daily lectures: - 1-2 hours

No. of Batches: -   2 batch   ( One in Morning and One in evening)

Timing of batch: -   10am to 12pm and 5pm – 7pm ( As per students convenience)

Batch Size: 20 – 25 underprivileged women and young girls

Total No- village -200   for 3 month

Total No. of Candidates Targeted: - Around 12000 – candidates

Workshops would be conducted and prospective employers would be invited to guide the youth about industry expectations. Efforts would be made to employ the youth in some good organizations or companies. Post job counseling  would be provided to the youth about how they could develop a career in the field of job they have chosen and how they would be benefited over a period of time
